As part of our value-added services, McGregor Supply offers 24-hour emergency response communications through our partner CHEMTREC, the leading emergency call center provider, This is a service of the American Chemistry Council. For over twenty years, the CHEMTREC 24-hour Emergency Call Center has helped shippers of hazardous materials comply with U.S. Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials regulations (49CFR§ 172.604), which require a 24-hour emergency telephone number on all shipping documents for shipments of hazardous materials. CHEMTREC currently services more than 20,000 customers.
Through CHEMTREC, McGregor Supply offers you a live voice you can reach 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency. To ensure that your CHEMTREC representative is fully prepared to assist you, we regularly update CHEMTREC with your personal MSDS library. McGregor Supply’s Emergency Response Service includes:
- MSDS read-back
- Incident reporting to your Safety Manager
- Contacting local emergency responders
- Linking you to product manufacturers or other expert resources that can provide technical information
- Access to CHEMTREC’s MSDS library if your personal library is incomplete
